We are aware some services received an email requesting that National Student Numbers (NSNs) be added to children’s records in Educa.

Educa is not authorised under the Education and Training Act 2020 to collect and use the NSN. Therefore, early childhood services should not provide this information to Educa. We have not endorsed this request for information.

We have informed Educa of the above and have asked them to contact the services who received the email and withdraw the request.

Do not action the request from Educa to provide them with NSNs. 

We are in contact with Educa to request this information be removed from their system if your service has already updated children’s records.
